Cherry ("we", "us") is a mobile and web application that uses artificial intelligence to help pet owners understand their pet's health. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Cherry provides general guidance only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address (and, if you use Google Sign-In, your name and profile photo), used to create and secure your account.
• Pet information you provide: pet name, species, breed, birth date, weight, and photos you add.
• Health content you submit: photos (e.g. of stool, urine, or vaccination records) and notes that you choose to analyze, plus the AI reports generated from them.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

2. How we use your information

• To provide AI analysis of the photos and information you submit.
• To store your pets and records and sync them to your account so you can access them across devices.
• To send reminders you set up (e.g. vaccination due dates) via device notifications.
• To secure your account and operate the service.

3. Service providers we share data with

To deliver the app, limited data is processed by:

• Google Firebase (authentication and cloud database) — stores your account and your pet/health records. Your data is isolated to your account.
• Google Gemini API — the photos and text you choose to analyze are sent to Google's Gemini model to generate a report, then returned to you.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

4. Data retention and deletion

Your records are kept while your account is active. You can delete individual pets, logs, meal plans, and vaccination records in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at the address below and we will remove it from our systems.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK, California), you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Children

Cherry is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and per-user access rules so that only you can read or write your own records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Medical disclaimer

Cherry offers general, AI-generated guidance and may be incomplete or incorrect. It does not constitute veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For any emergency, worsening symptoms, or ongoing concern, consult a licensed veterinarian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
